Piazza dei Signori

From Juliet’s house you can reach Piazza dei Signori by crossing the Arco della Costa, which connects it to Piazza delle Erbe.

According to the legend, when an honest and pure-hearted person passes under the “coast” this will come off and fall to the ground.

This square is symbol of the political and administrative power of the city.

Here you can see a lot of monumental buildings (Torre dei Lamberti, Palazzo Scaligero and Palazzo della Ragione) connected by arcades and loggias.

At the center of the square you can see the statue of Dante Alighieri, who took refuge in Verona after being exiled from Florence.
