Romeo’s house

The house of the Montecchi, located in via delle Arche Scaligere, is not far from Juliet’s House.

The building is a typically medieval house, externally well preserved. An almost imposing building, arranged on three sides around a large inner courtyard and repaired on the side facing the public street from a high wall on which opens the front door.

The building cannot be visited inside because it is now a private property and  is occupied.

The beautiful gothic façade of the 14th century well recalls the romantic William Shakespeare‘s love story.

Address: via Arche Scaligere, 2.
