Basilica Palladiana

The Basilica Palladiana is a Reinassance building in Piazza dei Signori.

Its name is inextricably linked to the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, who redesigned the Palazzo della Ragione by adding the famous white marble Serlian loggias to the pre-existing Gothic building.

In the past, the Basilica Palladiana was the seat of the public judiciary of Vicenza. Today it we can see in it three independent exhibition spaces, that are used for a lot of exhibitions of architecture and art.

Since 1994 it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, together with Palladio’s other architectures in Vicenza.

Since 2014, the prestigious building has been honored and promoted as a national monument by the Chamber and Senate of the Republic.

Address: Via della Rotonda, 45.
